Explore this MATLAB Simulink model of a single-stage grid-connected solar PV system with inverter-based MPPT (no DC-DC converter required).
This MATLAB Simulink model demonstrates the design and analysis of a single-stage grid-connected solar PV system without a DC-DC converter.
Instead of DC-DC MPPT, the inverter controller handles MPPT using a reference DC-link voltage. A Perturb & Observe (P&O) MPPT algorithm is embedded inside the PV subsystem to track maximum power. A default DC-link reference voltage of 650V is applied at the inverter controller, which can be modified easily or replaced with any MPPT algorithm.
