Explore this MATLAB Simulink model of a single-stage grid-connected solar PV system with no DC-DC converter.
This MATLAB Simulink model demonstrates the design and analysis of a single stage grid-connected solar PV system without using any DC-DC converter for MPPT. Instead, the MPPT is handled through the inverter controller, using a reference DC link voltage. A Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm is implemented inside the PV subsystem to determine the maximum power point, and a default reference voltage of 650V is applied at the inverter controller. This voltage can be easily replaced by Vmpp or any external MPPT algorithm, making the system flexible and scalable.
